Your path to pharmacy starts here

Through our unique partnership with the University at Buffalo, students in this program can obtain a PharmD in just seven years of total schooling.

At Brockport, you’ll take three years of pre-pharmacy coursework preparing you for the PharmCAS entrance exam and an application to the University at Buffalo. After acceptance, you’ll transfer and spend your fourth to seventh year on the Buffalo campus, receiving your BS degree in year four and a PharmD at the end.

Curriculum

A carefully tailored curriculum provides the necessary foundational coursework for pharmacy study, including math, biology, chemistry, and physics.

You’ll work closely with an advisement coordinator to design an academic plan that satisfies the your pharmacy school prerequisites and courses required for a B.S. degree in Biology or Biochemistry.

Then at the University at Buffalo, you’ll learn from of the nation’s top pharmacy schools with extensive opportunities for field training and residency programs — all at the amazing value of a SUNY education.

Best Consideration Dates

First-year applicants are reviewed on a rolling basis. Students looking to begin in the fall semester are strongly encouraged to apply by May 1, though will continue to be considered after this date.

Upon entry to the program, students must apply to the University at Buffalo through PharmCAS by October 1 of their junior year.

Career Outlook

The health care system relies on pharmacists to be a key part of patient care. Skilled pharmacists are very much in demand and are well-paid.
