Interviewing
- Veterans make great job candidates. You are highly skilled and bring many skills and competencies that employers are seeking.
- Point out that you have transferrable skills from your military experience, such as problem solving, teamwork, leadership, performing under pressure, and ability to work with others fro diverse backgrounds.

Developing a “civilian-friendly” resume
- Replace “military lingo” with civilian terms. To help with this, look up sample veteran resumes.
