Lake Ontario field research

Join in the study, management, and conservation of our most precious resource — water.

Students often go on field excursions to Lake Ontario or other bodies of water in the region to test water samples and study plant and animal life.

This field covers everything from quantity and conservation, to quality and pollution, to managing risk of floods and other water-related challenges. You’ll learn how water moves around the Earth and how humans interact with this vital resource.
