Our ecosystems are in danger. Join us in vital research and be a part of the solution.

Our on-campus greenhouse can be used year-round to cultivate and monitor plants of both regionally native and non-native varieties so students can observe and analyze their growth.

Join the Fight for our Planet’s Future

It’s up to us to ensure the natural resources we rely on are healthy and sustained for future generations. Through research focused on the revitalization of Western New York ecosystems, we make a true measurable difference in the support and conservation of our own backyards.

Minor in Environmental Science

From the Lab to the Lake

This program draws from the fields of biology, chemistry, ecology, and geology, and applies them to the processes and phenomena found in our environment. Once you’ve built the groundwork, you will specialize in one of three available tracks:

  1. Fisheries and Aquatic Ecology
  2. Wildlife and Terrestrial Ecology
  3. Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecology

No matter which track you choose, your knowledge and research skills will be applied where it counts: out in the lakes, parks, and forests impacted by environmental threats.
