Dates
You can enter the United States up to 30 days before the program start date on your I-20. If you do so, you are responsible for arranging your own transportation and accommodations up to the designated move-in day.
Check the list of hotels near the Frederick Douglass International Airport (ROC). Some hotels have shuttles that run directly from the airport.
Please note that most hotels only accept payment by credit card, and many do not accept cash payments. Please plan accordingly if you will arrive early and stay in a hotel until the move-in day (August 18th).
Please note that Residence Halls will not be available until August 18th.

The International Student Services will offer a shuttle from the Frederick Douglass International Airport (ROC). You will see a SUNY Brockport table in the baggage claim area.
Shuttle Schedule to Campus on August 18, 2025:
The shuttle will depart the airport at the following times to travel to campus:
- 10:00am
- 12:00pm
- 2:00pm
- 4:00pm
- 6:00pm
- 8:00pm
- 10:00pm
For flights arriving later than 10:00pm, the last shuttle will leave at 12:00am on August 19, 2025.

Meals for Move-in Day
For lunch:
If you’re on campus and want lunch, go to Harrison Dining Hall between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Make sure to use your meal ticket when you arrive. You will receive your meal ticket when we pick you up from the airport.
For dinner:
If you’re on campus and want dinner, go to Harrison Dining Hall between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Make sure to use your meal ticket when you arrive. You will receive your meal ticket when we pick you up from the airport.
If you are delayed or cannot arrive until after the move-in date, please plan to take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi from the airport to SUNY Brockport’s campus.
If you arrive to campus late at night, call the “Resident Assistant (RA) On Duty” number on the front entrance of your residence hall.
If you cannot make phone calls yet, please locate one of SUNY Brockport’s Blue Light Phones to call University Police. Our officers can escort you to your residence hall and contact your RA to give you access to your room.

Transportation Options to Campus
If you are not arriving on August 18th, you have the following options to travel to campus. You can take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi from the taxi stand directly outside of the airport terminal or from your hotel to travel to campus from August 18th onward.
Once you finalize your arrival plans, please complete the International Orientation Registration Form.
