Passionate about sports and science? Discover how the heart, lungs, and other muscles in the body respond to physical activity. Our major offers two concentrations for students intent on honing their expertise: Strength and Conditioning and Exercise for Health Promotion.

Strength & Conditioning

Work with athletes from the high school level all the way up to professional while specializing in resistance training, programming, and implementation. Gain the necessary preparation to sit for the National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) exam.

Exercise for Health Promotion

Specialize in care for both the general and clinical populations. Be prepared to sit for the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Exercise Physiologist Exam through the knowledge gained during your coursework.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics employment of exercise physiologists is expected to grow 10% between 2022 and 2032.
