Why Become a Nurse?

Skilled nurses are a necessity. Our nursing program prepares professional nurses who can provide care for a culturally diverse society. Our  program utilizes summer courses to help you obtain your degree in only 15 months.

Our nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and registered with the New York State Department of Education. We achieve the standards set by CCNE by combining a rigorous academic curriculum with stimulating clinical experiences, all of which are guided by dedicated faculty members.

Admission into our Program

Current Brockport students or previous Brockport graduates must complete the Second Degree Readmittance Application. Students who have a bachelor’s degree from an institution other than SUNY Brockport should complete the SUNY application.

Upon notification from the Office of Admissions, students are directed to log into their portal to access and complete the required ABSN Secondary Application and ABSN Professional Statement.
