To receive accommodations, an individual must engage in the self-identification process with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) and provide appropriate documentation.

For those seeking housing accommodations, please note that our appointments are currently booking out 2 -3 weeks. However, housing accommodations will still be considered even past the housing selection deadline.

Please note - medical documentation DOES NOT guarantee an accommodation. Documentation establishes there is a disability, and then the meeting with the student and accessibility specialist informs what reasonable accommodations will be put into place.

Step 1: Submit a Registration Form

All information is confidential and is securely maintained. On the registration form, be sure to indicate type of accommodations you are seeking. You can choose more than one.
• Academic
• Housing
• Assistance Animal

Step 2: Provide Eligibility Documentation

Please read our Documentation Guidelines for more information on the accommodation process and the role of documentation.

Step 3: Schedule an Appointment

Once we receive your registration and any required applications, we will contact you via your Brockport email to set up an academic and/or housing meeting. Please note - it may take up to 2 weeks to meet with an accessibility specialist. Meetings can be attended remotely via Teams or in-person at the SAS office located in the Brown Building.

Step 4: Meet with an Accessibility Specialist

During the meeting, you will have an interactive conversation with an accessibility specialist about your disability and the functional limitations that may create barriers to equal access in the college environment. Some accommodations may be approved at the meeting, but others will be emailed to you within five business days.
