Monthly A&C Newsletter: Post-Homecoming!

We made it through a fantastic and memorable Homecoming & Family Weekend! What a stretch, from the Lugia’s ice cream truck to start things off on Thursday through Saturday night’s fireworks … and everything in between. Kudos to everyone on the team for the roles you played in making memories for our alumni, students, families, and friends. I can’t wait to see how Ellsworth defends his new title in HoCoMania II next fall!!

Some news and notes …

• Can you believe today starts week six of the academic semester! 
• The next edition of The Port comes out on Thursday, and the October First Friday is the next day at Alumni House (4:00-5:30 pm).
• The Comprehensive Campaign launch will be Friday, Nov. 21. “Igniting Excellence: The Campaign for SUNY Brockport” has an initial goal of $40 million (we have surpassed $30 million already!) with an expected conclusion of June 30, 2026.
• Earlier in the afternoon of Nov. 21, Pete Guelli ’90, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, will be on campus to meet with students. Expect to hear more about his visit in the coming weeks. 
• The new polos for the entire University have arrived. Dan and Kaci will be sharing the campus distribution plan soon.

• Igniting Excellence Campaign Launch, Fri., Nov. 21, 6:00 to 8:00 pm (Seymour Union Ballroom)
