A very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
As we head off to the Thanksgiving holiday and long weekend, a very heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone for all you do for our Division and the University. We are lucky to have every one of you on our team, and I’m honored to serve as the leader of this fantastic operation. Have a relaxing time with your families and friends and travel safely.
Some news and notes:
- Last Friday’s campaign kickoff was a rousing success. Major kudos for the role that each of you played.

- Today’s Daily Eagle and yesterday’s message from College Council Chair Scott Turner noted a couple of staff time slots as part of the “listening sessions” with the consulting firm for the Presidential Search. Please try to attend and participate if you are able.
- Earlier this week, Human Resources sent a note to campus about the holidays and the “Work From Home” program over the break. Please be sure to work with your supervisor and appropriate AVP on your individual plans, especially between Dec. 22 and Jan. 2. Please remember to note your WFH days on your personal calendars and get your full WFH schedule to Amy by Dec. 9 so she can pull the divisional calendar together.
- The New York State tax-credit program was once again very fruitful for donors wishing to use this tool to support the University. More than $155,000 was committed in gifts using this method in the final quarter of 2025!
- Because of the short time between Thanksgiving and the end of the semester, I’m going to do a “two-fer” newsletter: this one will serve as both our late November and December newsletter. Note the work anniversaries and birthdays at the end. And we will celebrate the January birthdays with the February group on Feb. 3.
- If you have not done so already, please let Amy know ASAP about your attendance plans for our Divisional holiday party on Dec. 11.
