The art history minor provides students with a comprehensive exploration of art through the ages.
Admission to the Program
Any undergraduate student can declare this minor.
Program Requirements
Art history minors must complete a total of 18 credits in the courses listed below. A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in all courses taken for the minor.
Required ARH Courses (6 credits):
- ARH201 Survey of World Art I
- ARH202 Survey of World Art II
ARH Elective Courses (9-12 credits).
A minimum of 9 elective credits must be from ARH courses.
Non-ARH Electives (0-3 credits).
A maximum of one elective course may be from the following list of approved non-ARH elective courses:
- ANT 304 Native American Images in Film and Media
- ANT 336 Environment, Traditional Arts and Women’s Lives
- ANT 463 Museology
- FLM 200 Art of the Film
