All graduate/teaching assistantships are located in-person, on either the Brockport campus (Brockport, NY) or Brockport Downtown (Rochester, NY).
What is a Graduate Assistant and Teaching Assistant?
Graduate Assistants are graduate students who are employed by the University. There are two types of roles graduate assistants perform:
Graduate Assistant (GA): Student employees who perform a variety of tasks specific to the needs of the department in which they are employed.
Teaching Assistant (TA): Student employees who assist faculty members in classroom, research and/or laboratory assignments through positions called teaching assistantships.

- When filling out your graduate program application, check the box indicating that you are interested in being a Graduate Assistant and/or a Teaching Assistant.
- Log into your graduate application status portal and complete the general GA/TA application on the right-hand side.
