Don’t Wait for the Deadline to Apply!

Deadlines are the last chance, not the starting point. Apply early for more internship options, less stress, and a smoother process.

Plan to apply at least a month before the deadline—earlier for federal, law enforcement, or national security placements. Top sites like the Smithsonian or CNN may close up to six months early.
