It looks like March is coming in like a lamb, so … fingers crossed it goes out that way, too, and we have dry, sunny, and not-too-cold weather for Eclipse Day on April 8!
In the News!
- The build-up has been great, and we are well ahead of last year’s pace already as we get primed for the annual Day of Giving next Wednesday, March 6. Kudos to Donnie for leading this effort and for building and maintaining partnerships across campus to make it happen. Thanks to everyone in the Division who has taken part in the prep. It looks to be a great day.
- We are excited for Patrick’s next chapter, and so thankful for all he did for the University and the greater Brockport community, but sad to see him leaving us. We will celebrate him next Thursday before he heads off to Tennessee.
- The quarterly Brockport Foundation meeting is next Friday, March 8, in New York City. We will be hosting a reception for alumni, donors, and Foundation and Alumni Board members the night before at the Penn Club, hosted by BF Board Chair Chris Moschovitis. Brad, Amy, and I will be headed down to NYC next Thursday.
- Just 38 days until the Solar Eclipse (April 8). Our campus committee continues to work through all details and logistics related to event passes, parking, communication, health and safety, merchandise, and so much more. Thanks to all for working with Kaci and Dan on your roles for that day. We want to showcase the best of the University and our team will lead the way. Many hands …
- Mary Goodwin will be starting in a part-time support role for both Advancement (gift processing) and University Events (Eclipse and Commencement) on March 14.
