Kudos to everyone for the tremendous work to close the 2023-24 academic year! The Senior Week activities were fantastic and culminated with another exceptional “Almost Alum Block Party” last Thursday night. Then, a ton of planning, and execution of those plans, culminated in a great Commencement for our 2024 graduates last Friday. From the logistics to capturing the student reactions in photos and videos, it was a perfect day. Commencement season is the best time of the year, and our team contributed mightily to the successes. Congratulations and THANK YOU all!
In the News!
- Many of us were in attendance last night at the University Recognition Dinner to honor Melissa Furness as the first-ever Advancement team member to receive a Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Classified Service. Congratulations to Melissa for this incredible honor. (Pictures above)
- Earlier this week a few members of the team met with our colleagues in Procurement & Payment Services (PPS) to discuss current projects, contracts, bids, etc. We will be meeting every three months with the PPS team for updates.
- As we near the end of the fiscal year (June 30), there will be several mailings and emails and calls going out to alumni and donors to get their annual gift in before our books close. Thanks to Donnie for managing all of these varied communications.
- As noted last month, we are up for some PRism and SUNYCUAD awards that we should hear about soon (SUNYCUAD is in two weeks and the PRism awards ceremony is June 13).
