Issue 37: August 9, 2024

Vice President News from Ian Harper

Thank you to all that attended the dinner and breakfast meetings at the beginning of the month, it was great spending time with you and sharing your great accomplishments. Many thanks to BASC for the excellent catering and to Laurie Smith for all the organizing and planning. A special mention to John Carlson, who celebrates a significant milestone in August, his 30-year anniversary with the University. John, a huge thank you and many congratulations.

We have made a couple of moderations to the Newsletter, we have added a section recognizing birthdays and work anniversaries for the current month as well adding the citations that supported the Green and Gold Awards for the prior month. I hope you like these adds and please provide feedback if there are any other things you would like to see.

Congratulations to Tammy Gouger on her appointment as a Board member for the Eastern Region of CUPA. This is a great honor for Tammy and the University, so please join me in congratulating her.

We have several new employees (see below) and on our behalf I will extend a warm welcome to them all and I’m sure we will provide them with all the support and encouragement as they on-board.

Finally, the start of the new semester is upon us, with the student athletes arriving mid-month and classes starting August 26th. The summer goes quickly! Thank you for all that you do!
