Issue 41: December 12, 2024

Vice President News from Ian Harper

Hi everyone, I hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. As I write this, snow is on the ground and the weather has decidedly gotten colder, so please join me in thanking all the Facilities Maintenance and Operations crew for their hard work in keeping the buildings clean, operational, and warm, as well as the sidewalks clear of snow and ice.

The “Staff Saver Wednesday” has proven to be a success, and we are pleased to announce that it’s being extended through the Spring semester; many thanks to the BASC team for their support and partnership. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is getting tremendous feedback, both in terms of its accessibility and the breadth of resources that are available. These are two examples of several initiatives that have been rolled out in support of our employees.

Please join me in welcoming our newest team member, Lucas, and in congratulating Hanna, Jackie, and Tippy on their promotions (details further below).

Finally, I wish you all a happy and peaceful Holiday Season.

Take care everyone and thank you.
