In the news!

  • The semester is one-third completed today! Wow was that fast!!!
  • The search for the new Dean of the School of Business and Management (SOBAM) is starting and the first candidate will be on campus next week. Try to find time to attend the Open Forums if your schedule permits.
  • Charlotte Wade in the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion is providing Safe Zone training for campus groups. We are lucky to have her doing one for our Division on March 17. Please try to prioritize this and attend. We had a Cabinet training last month and it was very valuable.
  • Just a reminder that the Employee Assistance program (EAP) has been greatly enhanced through a new partnership with Higher Ed EAP. The service provides great resources on hundreds of topics. It is available to everyone at Higher Education EAP | ESI Employee Assistance Group.
  • Ten alumni will be returning to campus on Scholars Day for a series of panels at 3:00 and 4:15 pm related to their careers in the sports industry. Two of our faculty and Thad Brown from Channel 8 will serve as moderators for the sessions. More info will be coming out very soon.
  • Chris, Betsy, Amy, and I will be in New York City next Thursday and Friday for an alumni and donor event and a joint Foundation and Alumni Association meeting.
  • A few days ago, we all received an email from Ian Harper (VP for Administration and Finance) about the upcoming “Great Places to Work” survey. Employees will be randomly selected. If you are chosen, please take the time to complete and return it.
  • The President’s Donor Recognition Celebration will be held after the Honors & Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 25. Both events will be in the Seymour Union Ballroom.
