SUNY Brockport’s Social Work program has three prerequisite courses, so if you are not pursuing the A.S. in Human Services, it is strongly encouraged to take the following courses as part of your Cayuga degree:
- BIOL 100**
- SOC 101
- PSY 101
*Note: Social Work is a fall-start-only major at Brockport. Prerequisites must be completed (with a “C” or better) prior to starting the program. A 2.5 cumulative GPA is required. Students interested in the Online Degree Completion program should be aware of the March 1st priority deadline. For best consideration, prerequisites should be completed prior to this date.
**If your SUNY Natural Science general education requirement is already satisfied, the lab for Human Biology is not required and you may take BIOL 101. If Natural Science is still needed, you may take BIO 100 to satisfy the lab. BIOL 203 also accepted.
