During this residency, Artistic & Executive Director, Seiko, will offer a masterclass, lead workshops, and perform a full-scale recital. This residency will conclude with the world premiere of Tea Leaves which was the inaugural winner of The Catherine Russell Composer
Prize in collaboration with The University of Michigan and The George Shirley Vocal Competition. It is our hope to inaugurate a newly developed genre-bending music incubator series where students can intimately be involved with and support the commissioning of new works, foster the development of their artistic voices, and augment their professional
profiles as global citizens.
