English Graduate Student Wins Prestigious Award

Patrick Beath won a 2026 London Best Script Award for his screenplay “Dead Wrong,” which he worked on in a Brockport creative writing course taught by Professor Steve Fellner.

Known as the motion picture industry’s premier screenplay competition, the London Script Award connects new writers to agents, producers, and studios, with an aim toward promoting high-quality scripts ready for production. Out of about 1,000 submissions, the competition presents 30 awards in a variety of categories. Beath’s won the Best Short Entry award this year.
