The New York State Governmental Accountability, Audit, and Internal Control Act of 1987 requires all State-operated campuses to establish and maintain a system of internal controls and an ongoing internal control program. Part of the University’s responsibility in complying with this law is to ensure all employees are aware of what internal controls are and make clear to them their responsibilities for making internal controls effective.
This training must be completed on an annual basis by every University employee, including Adjunct Faculty members, part-time employees, and those who work at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center. Managers, department heads, and chairs are responsible for ensuring all employees under their supervision complete the training module no later than close of business Friday, May 15, 2026.
Emeriti, ROTC members, and student employees are not required to participate.
The online training module is now available. Please note that if you attempt to fast-forward through the mandatory presentation, you will be unable to access/answer the questions needed to receive credit for completing the required training.
SUNY has provided a PowerPoint document and written script of the video content. To request this format or, if you have questions regarding the mandatory training, please email icontrol@brockport.edu.
Your support in ensuring full participation by May 15 is greatly appreciated.
