The “BIPOC Pathways to Leadership Workshop” was moderated by Philippe Abraham, Secretary-Treasurer of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT). Dr. Jie Zhang, a member of the SUNY UUP Brockport Chapter and Professor in the Department of Education and Human Development, joined Philippe and other two panelists to share their experiences from the NYSUT BIPOC Pathways to Leadership Project. Jie was selected as one of the 15 members to form the first cohort of the NYSUT BIPOC Pathways Leadership Project and has been participating in project-related events since fall 2023.
UUP Brockport Chapter Member Invited to Join NYSUT Workshop
Dr. Jie Zhang, a member of the UUP Brockport Chapter, was invited to join a NYSUT workshop as a panelist at the NYSABPRHAL 53rd Annual Legislative Conference in Albany on February 17, 2024.
