The project was under the direction of Dr. Laurie W. Rush (Cultural Resources Manager, Public Works, Environmental Division, 4205 Po Valley Road, Fort Drum, New York 13602-5097). Students and collaborators from SUNY Brockport were invited to participate in these activities in order to learn how to carry out tree boring and GPR, which are techniques used in the archaeological field.
Anthropology students Sam Riccotta, Clara Council, and Rae Elias joined Dr. Jennifer Ramsay at Fort Drum and gained hands-on experience with ground penetrating radar and tree boring.
