Bio

Mubarak is a dedicated nonprofit leader with over 20 years of experience advancing equity and opportunity. He has held key roles at the Urban League of Rochester and Greyston, where he introduced the Open Hiring Model to Rochester. As Vice President for Youth and Community Services at Action for a Better Community, he oversees programs that empower families toward self-sufficiency. Mubarak holds a degree from Millersville University, his MPA from SUNY Brockport and is a proud graduate of leadership programs including United Way’s African American Leadership Development Program and Leadership Rochester. He was named a 2020 RBJ Forty Under 40 honoree and a 2022 Chamber Ignite Award finalist.
