Bio

Dr. Reiner has worked at SUNY Brockport since 2007 and in 2024, she joined the Dean’s Office. She previously worked as a Professor in Counselor Education and was the Department Chair for five years.

Prior to working at SUNY Brockport, Dr. Reiner served as a school counselor in Rochester, NY and in Prince George’s County Maryland. Dr. Reiner is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), North Atlantic Region Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NARACES), and the American Counseling Association of New York (ACA-NY). She has served as President of Association for Adult Development and Aging, Association of Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), North Atlantic Region of ACES, and was the founding president of the American Counseling Association of NY. She is a Past Chair of the American Counseling Association’s North Atlantic Region (ACA-NAR) and was the 2016-2022 ACA Governing Council Representative for NAR.

Dr. Reiner was honored to have a voice in the future of the profession and the ability to influence the expansion of counseling services so that ACA may achieve their Vision that: Every person has access to quality professional counseling to thrive.
