Bio
Benoit Beauchamp is a contemporary lighting designer and artist specializing in live performance. He earned his MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. His recent work on campus includes lighting design for numerous dance concerts, and he also served as Production Coordinator for the ACDA conference. Beyond the university, he has designed lighting for a wide range of dance performances and theatre festivals across the country, collaborating with various choreographers and directors.
Before relocating to New York, Beauchamp produced dance at the University of Virginia, where he coordinated multiple dance residencies. During his time there, he worked with renowned artists such as the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, AXIS Dance Company, and several independent choreographers from the U.S. and Canada. His lighting design has been showcased internationally, with work presented across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
