Bio

Rachael Killion joined the Budgeting Office at SUNY Brockport in March 2019 as a Financial Specialist. In fall of 2021, she shifted roles, becoming a Financial Analyst and again in November 2023 assuming the Sr. Financial Analyst role. Through these positions, Rachael gained a thorough understanding of many responsibilities including, but not limited to, oversight of budgets for the campus, various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports both at the campus and SUNY levels, Business Intelligence (BI) training, bank account oversight, and campus billing. She has been at the forefront of campus-initiated projects, such as zero-based budgeting and the development of academic program financials.

Rachael became the Director of Budgeting in August 2024, acquiring responsibilities such as the creation and monitoring of budgets for the University, oversight of the faculty and staff salary pools, and generating various SUNY financial reports. Rachael and the Budget Office staff work to provide accurate and timely reporting to the University and strive to communicate budget related processes effectively.
