About the Committee
The Research Council serves as an advisory body to the provost in all issues relating to research and other scholarly or creative activity at SUNY Brockport.
Mission & Goals
The functions of the council include the following:
- To advocate for necessary resources that maximize the research productivity of faculty and increase the visibility of research on the University campus.
- To recommend policies and programs that build faculty capacity in obtaining external funding for research and other scholarly or creative works.
- To recommend policies that enhance strong and mutually productive research collaborations within and across disciplines.
- To propose initiatives that promote faculty-led student research.
