Bio

Lyndsay Marrone holds a master’s degree in communication from SUNY Brockport with a background in Higher Education. Settling in North Carolina post-graduation, she held various roles in the field. Lyndsay’s teaching career commenced in 2006, specializing in the instruction and development of online and hybrid Communication courses. Over the past 15 years, she has garnered extensive experience in online teaching.

During her tenure in North Carolina, Lyndsay served as the Department Chair of Communications and Foreign Languages. Demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing online education, she took on additional leadership responsibilities such as mentoring faculty in online and hybrid course instruction, conducting online course reviews, and designing Quality Matters certified online courses. She also played a pivotal role in supporting faculty with online course design.

Returning to her roots in New York in 2019, Lyndsay rejoined SUNY Brockport as an Instructional Designer. In this capacity, she collaborates with faculty to implement effective teaching theories and online pedagogical practices. Her primary focus is on fostering student success through well-defined learning outcomes, strategic instructional strategies, and thoughtful assessment practices. Lyndsay enjoys equipping faculty with evidence-based online teaching methodologies and aiding them in crafting engaging online learning environments.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Lyndsay enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and extended family in her hometown of Penfield, NY.
