The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) supports your success while advancing SUNY Brockport’s commitment to diversity and “Building a Better Brockport.”

Through legislative and institutional funding, EOP provides direct financial aid, supplemental instruction, and counseling designed to help you improve academic achievement, stay on track toward graduation, and thrive in a diverse educational environment. Student success through academic and curricular activities will always be EOP’s priority.

Eligibility for EOP

First-year students

  • Must be a NYS resident (12 months before enrollment).
  • Earned a high school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrate potential for success through recommendation letters, essays, etc.
  • Meet EOP academic and economic guidelines.

EOP Eligibility Guidelines

Transfer students

  • Enrolled in EOP, Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), Educational Opportunity Center, or SEEK/College Discover programs at your previous institution.
  • Complete the Transfer Student Verification Form from your previous college.
