Local Government Management

Description

The Local Government Management Advanced Certificate is designed for three types of students:

  • Professionals in local government and public regional organizations who are beginning their careers. The certificate helps fill educational gaps and supports their advancement into broader leadership and management roles.
  • Master’s students who need additional preparation in local government management topics to supplement their degree focus.
  • Recent undergraduates who are not ready to commit to a full master’s program but want to explore the field of study.

Admission to the Program

The Certificate in Local Government Management is open to two types of students:

  1. Students who have already earned a bachelors or masters degree in a field other than nonprofit management and are not currently enrolled at SUNY Brockport may apply to the program through The Center for Graduate Studies.
  2. Students who are already enrolled in a graduate degree program at SUNY Brockport should contact chairperson of the Department of Public Administration.
